Clareen NS Make it a Treble !!25/4/2016 On Wednesday the 25th of May, Clareen NS completed an historic treble after the girls won the Caomogie division A final against Shinrone on a scoreline of 6-6 to 2-6. Clareen were joined with Drumcullen girls, and the Shinrone team consisted of both Clonlisk and Shinrone national schools. It was a tough game with Clareen/Drumcullen managing to ensure the victory. This win secured the treble, after Clareen on their own won the Camogie division C on their own, and the boys had won the division b hurling final. This finished a superb year for the school in the world of the GAA, These 3 wins accompanied the girls having already won the indoor camogie competition from earlier on in the year. These great wins were celebrated in the Seir Kieran club grounds with a bonfire and speeches from the chairman of the club, Tony Murphy, the minor chairman of the club, Joe Guinan, and principal, Mr Dunne. All the children attending thoroughly enjoyed the night. Congratulations to the girls, including the Drumcullen students who helped to ensure the win, and the school are tremendously proud of there efforts throughout the year.
