Dates for your Diary:
Thursday the 5th of March: St. Kierans Day children attending Mass 10am.
Mon the 16th & Tue 17th of March: St. Patricks Day - School Closed
Wednesday the 19th of March: FAI 5-a-side soccer.
Friday the 27th of March: School closes at 12noon for Easter Holidays
St. Kieran’s Day: This Thursday the 5th of March, we celebrate St. Kieran’s Day. St. Kieran is the Patron Saint for our Parish. On this day the whole school will attend mass in the church at 10am. As is tradition, the senior classes will then proceed with other members of the community to the three holy sites in the parish. Should you have a child from 3rd class down and should you wish to accompany them to the sites, you are more than welcome to do so. Simply send in a note to the relative class teacher.
FAI Soccer Blitz: This takes place in Victoria Park in Tullamore on the 19th of March. Children from 4th – 6th class (inclusive) will be attending the blitz. More details will follow to those involved.
Confirmation: Congratulations to our 5th and 6th class who celebrated their big day last Sunday. The day proved to be a real success. Well done to everyone involved.
Parents Association Easter Raffle: Please check your child’s school bag today for the Parents Association Easter Raffle card. Try in so far as you can to sell the lines on the card and return it to school no later than Monday the 23rd of March as the draw will take place that week. Should you require extra cards, Gerardine will give them to you, on request. Your support is much appreciated with this. Míle Buíochas to our Parents Association committee who do such great work in supporting our school.
School Closures: Please note that school will be closed on Monday the 16th of march and Tuesday the 17th of March. School will then close on Friday the 27th of March at 12noon for the Easter break and will re-open on Monday the 13th of April.
1st/2nd/3rd Classes: As many of you maybe aware, Ms. Kelly will be going on maternity leave before the Easter Break. We wish Ms. Kelly and John all the very best in this exciting time of their lives. Ms. Grimes will be teaching 1st /2nd/3rd/ classes from the 13th of April until the end of the school year.
Outstanding School Payments: We would appreciate it, if those who have not yet paid swimming lessons could organise to do so. It can be paid in instalments. Should anyone have any difficulties regarding same, please contact me.
