Dates for your Diary:
Thursday the 9th of January: Swimming lessons for 1st – 6th class begin.
Wednesday the 15th of January: Board of Management meeting @ 8pm.
Friday the 31st of January: Catholic School’s week Mass in GP room at 9.30am.
Thursday the 5th of March: Confirmation.
Fáilte Romhaibh ar ais: All the boys and girls are very welcome back after the Christmas break.
Míle buíochas to all of you who made donations at our Christmas Show. €1263.10 was raised on the night. Your generosity is much appreciated. As we settle back in after our Christmas break, we look forward to working with you all in 2020 in the best interests of your children.
Swimming Lessons: Swimming lessons (1st – 6th class) will start on Thursday the 9th and will run for six Thursdays. The lesson will take place from 1pm to 1.45pm each Thursday.The cost per child is €35 which can be sent in by the end of February.
You are reminded of the following:
Music Lessons: Ms. Murphy’s guitar classes will resume on Monday the 20th of January and Wednesday the 22nd of January.
Confirmation: Confirmation will take place on Thursday the 5th of March (St. Kieran’s Day) at 11am. School will close at 12pm on this day.
Holy Communion: First Holy Communion will take place on Sunday the 24th of May at 11am.
Hurling/Camogie: All children from 4th – 6th are encouraged to bring in their hurley/helmet and a spare pair of pants and socks each day to allow them to go down on the field to practice. Challenge matches will be organised in the near future and you will be notified of these via text.
Santa’s Visit: Míle buíochas again to all those parents who helped out in organising Santa’s visit on the last day of the term. Your efforts are much appreciated by all.
Catholic Schools Week: Catholic schools week will take place from the 26th of January to the 2nd of February. Fr. McEvoy will celebrate mass in the school on Friday the 31st of January at 9.30am in the GP Room. All are welcome to attend.
Costumes/Props: We would appreciate it very much if you would return any costumes or props which belong to the school, which were used in our Christmas Show.

- No shampoos, deodorants or gels are allowed.
- You are welcome in to view your child swimming. In the case of younger children, parents are encouraged to come to help their children change (if it is possible).
- Should you be satisfied for another parent to help your child change (who may be in a position to attend), you must send in a note to the relevant class teacher setting out your permission in such a case.
- If you wish to collect your child from the pool, a short note in the journal must be sent in.
