Wednesday the 14th of January: Le Chéile Swimming begins.
Thursday the 15th of January: Swimming (1st – 6th Class) begins.

Fáilte Romhaibh ar ais: All the boys and girls are very welcome back after the Christmas break. As is the case with January weather, it can be very cold, so please ensure that your children wear warm clothing into school each day, as well as bringing in a warm coat.
Swimming Lessons: Swimming lessons (Le Chéile) will start on Wednesday the 14th of January and will run for four Wednesdays. Swimming lessons (1st – 6th Class) will start on Thursday the 15th of January and run for five Thursdays. The cost per child is €50 and this can be paid before the end of February.

Enrolment: The school is now accepting applications for enrolment for the 2026/27 school year. Should you know people who wish to enrol their children, tell them to email the school at [email protected] with all relevant details and we will get back to them.
Christmas Show: This was a resounding success. The children were brilliant on the night. Míle buíochas to our staff and all those who worked so hard, to have everything in order on the night. Also, mile buíochas to all of you, for your generosity. Between donations and raffle tickets, €2002.50 was raised on the night.
Cystic Fibrosis Christmas Jumper Fundraiser: On the 19th of December, we ran a Christmas Jumper Fundraiser to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland. €250 was raised on the day. Cystic Fibrosis Ireland wishes to thank you for all your generosity.
Circus Visit: Míle buíochas to our Parents Association who organized the Circus Visit on the last day of term. It proved to be a real hit with all the boys and girls.
Parents Association AGM: This took place on the 9th of December. Our Parents Association do brilliant work in supporting our school. Míle buíochas to all those who serve in various positions. Your work is much appreciated.
Cumann na mBunscol: Training and preparing for hurling and camogie competitions will begin shortly. We will speak to all children in 3rd to 6th class, to see who is interested in playing camogie and hurling and following on from this we will communicate the plan of action to you.
BLAST: The school has been paired with artist Helen Keenan as part of the BLAST Creativity and Arts in Education Residency which we were successfully awarded in 2025. The children will participate in a number of dance workshops with Helen, beginning on Wednesday the 21st January.

You are reminded of the following:
- No shampoos, deodorants or gels are allowed.
- You are welcome in to view your child swimming. In the case of younger children, parents are encouraged to come to help their children change (if it is possible).
- While parents are welcome to view the children, parents are not permitted to enter the swimming pool deck.
- Should you be satisfied for another parent to help your child change (who may be in a position to attend), you must send in a note to the relevant class teacher setting out your permission in such a case.
- In the case of Thursday swimming, if you wish to collect your child from the pool, a short note in the journal must be sent in.
