ESB Science Blast
Well Done to the pupils from 5th & 6th Class who participated in the ESB Science Blast in Dublin RDS. The project was entitled 'Bounce to Brilliance' where the students investigated whether concentration levels improved amongst students when sitting on an exercise ball. 2nd and 3rd class even got involved by taking part as part of the experiment.
The children produced a fantastic project and presented themselves very well in front of the judges. They received excellent feedback from the judges and were commended on their abilities to discuss their idea in-depth.

Science Projects
We have had a lot of fun combining learning with technology. Miss Smyth taught us some basic powerpoint skills and we were able to create very impressive presentations which we presented to our class. We also worked in small groups which we enjoyed as we were able to help each other and work as part of a team.We are looking forward to our next project already!

Science Projects
We researched these Science Projects on the school laptops with Miss Smyth's help, and learned a lot while doing it!
Our Caricatures
Here are some of our caricatures that we made in art!
Our Geography Projects!
These are our geography projects we made. We all had to research a different European country. We all put a lot of work in, and as you can see, our hard work paid off as we all made brilliant projects!
Science ...... Making an electric quiz
Recently in science class we learned about electricity. We got to make simple circuits using batteries , light-bulbs and wires. After we had explored using these and other items we made an electric quiz.
First we created a quiz based on countries and their capital cities. We ordered the countries on the left hand side of a piece of card and on the right hand side we wrote the answers in random order. We attached a paper clip to each question and possible answer.
Next we attached a wire at the back of the card connecting the correct answers.
Finally we gave the completed quiz to a classmate who used a battery connected to a light to complete the quiz. One end of the wire was connected to question one. The other end was connected to the correct answer. If they chose the correct answer the light lit up.

Our second project was a huge pot which every member of our class contributed to ! Our third project is a wall hanging basket . At this stage Fin is finished working with us but we are now painting our creations . Check out our projects below.
