On Friday the 18th of September, 4th 5th and 6th class made mini movies from Lego! A man named Joseph who works in a company called Brick Flicks came and told us the basics of how to make little Lego movies using stop-motion animation.
First, he showed us some of the movies that Brick Flicks had already made. Then, he showed us how to make our Lego figure walk across the screen. He handed each group an ipad mini to film our Lego figures. Once we finished the test, we wrote out what our Lego films would be about and started the animations. After the animations, we added sound effects and went into a quiet room to do voice recordings. All the Lego movies were brilliant and are all on the Brick Flicks website. We all had lots of fun making Lego movies!
The Girl’s football team in this school is made up of the pupils from 3rd to 6th class. We are taking part in a Cumann na mBunscoil competition . They also played Kinnitty and they drew. They still have some matches to play. We will update you on our matches against Rath, Crinkle and Clonlisk in the coming weeks.
The Tullamore to Calais project is a project which is sending aid supplies to Calais in north France. Some primary schools are participating in sending hygiene packs which include a bar of soap, tooth paste, tooth brush and a comb to displaced people who are currently in Calais. We in Seir Kieran's N.S. are participating to help as best we can. We are doing this because we feel for the sick, distressed, homeless, hungry people in Calais .We also would like to do our bit in helping these refugees that haven’t washed for days or even weeks .
