Commemorative Flag Presented to Seir Kieran's N.S.

On Wednesday the 14th of October members of the Irish Defence forces (Dougie and Ross) visited our school. First they spoke to us about the 1916 rising and how the Irish flag was designed. We were a little surprised to hear that the first irish flag came from France ! Dougie presented Alanna with a commemorative flag which will we raise in April 2016 . He then presented the Irish Proclamation to Luke. To complete the presentation we all stood and sung Amhran na bhFiann.
